raspberry_pi running xbmc

I just installed xbmc on my raspberry pie. I struggled a bit to get it running any operating system. But when i tried installing the xbmc image on it based on OpenElec everything worked perfectly. So this is what i did

  1. Used some software from Raspbmc to prepare the sdcard http://www.raspbmc.com/wiki/user/windows-installation/
  2. Downloaded xbmc image from http://www.root9.net
  3. Used win32 image writer (http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/Data-CD-DVD-Burning/Win32-Disk-Imager.shtml) to write the extracted image to the sdcard
  4. Pushed image to the raspberry pi and shazam!!!!! Xbmc running on raspberry pi
